How Does It Work?

The Autofeed20 uses a large gravity-fed hopper. As your chickens eat from the feeding trough, more pellets naturally move down the chute to replace them.

The feeder can be programmed to open automatically at sunrise and close at sunset, adjusting your feeding routine around the natural daylight cycle. Alternatively, you can program set opening and closing times to suit your chickens and your property.

Once the door opens, your chickens simply place their heads inside the feeding area to eat.

The trough is positioned lower than the feeder door, helping contain the pellets and significantly reduce the amount of feed scattered onto the ground. Any small amount of feed that does escape is generally cleaned up by the chickens after the feeder closes, leaving less food available overnight to attract rats and other pests.
